School Fund
Mayfield Grammar School is connected to its registered charity Mayfield Grammar School Fund, charity number 1007778. This contributes towards the cost of some events, field trips, workshops and external speakers, the school minibus and generally projects which cannot be funded through the school’s budget. Unfortunately, the fund may not cover the full cost of all the activities we endeavour to provide and we may also need to request additional voluntary contributions for particular events.
At the beginning of each academic year, we request an annual voluntary contribution in order to maintain this fund balance. The contribution is currently £30.00 per student, £40.00 for 2 siblings and £50.00 for 3 siblings.
The school has established a Gift Aid scheme to take advantage of the tax benefits regarding donations to charities. The School Fund is a registered charity and can thus take advantage of this scheme. A Gift Aid Declaration form can be obtained from the school. On receipt of a completed form the school can reclaim your tax from the Inland Revenue. The school will make the necessary claim, meaning no additional paperwork for the donor , other than completing the declaration. We do hope you will support us with this scheme.
Online Payments: SCOPAY
Our online payment module allows parents more choice in how to pay for school items. On joining the school each family receives a personalised letter with details of how to register to use the system.
Parents and carers have the opportunity to pay online by debit card or credit card for residential and day trips, revision guides, or even a replacement locker key. This is where you can find the option to pay your child’s donation to our School Fund.
To make a payment, use the link below and your login details. You will then see a list of payment items for your child. You can choose which ones to pay and then enter your card details. The school will receive an automatic update of all payments that have been made and will be recorded on your child’s Scopay account. Details of how to set up your account will be in the letter that your child brings home when they join the school.
